The photographs in this exhibition catalogue are records of Hong Kong. They are extraordinary works, being both historical photographs and artistic creations. They also serve an educational function, making us aware of our environment and the need to treasure the past, beautify the present and to look forward to a brighter future. Of course, we should also appreciate the outstanding photographs by these four Hong Kong artists -- Almond Chu, Lau Ching Ping, Hisun Wong and Wong Wo Bik.
