Since the publication of the Hong Kong Corporate
Insolvency Manual (2002) and its companion volume, the
Hong Kong Personal Insolvency Manual (2003), there have
been significant developments in Hong Kong insolvency
law and practice. This Second Edition of the Hong Kong
Corporate Insolvency Manual addresses the corporate
insolvency developments and will be a valuable resource
for accounting and legal professionals working in the field.
This Second Edition expands the discussion of many topics
and also includes additional chapters on two important
areas of insolvency law and practice – the new PRC
bankruptcy law and cross-border insolvency. The authors
take a practical approach to the liquidation and
rehabilitation of insolvent companies, draw upon
illustrations from Hong Kong practice, and provide
checklists to assist professionals handling the day-to-day
administration of a winding-up.
