「香江懷古」片集，拍攝了近半世紀以來香港出土最精美的文物古蹟，讓時光倒流，是香港先民七千年歷史的重現。從二○○一年開始長達十年之久，攝製隊多次遠赴國內多個遺址、博物館拍攝，包括珠江三角洲範圍，又深入海南島，遠赴北京拍攝內蒙古世界最古老的玉耳環。這些難能可貴的文物，都一一在鏡頭下細緻捕捉。
人物採訪方面，我們訪問了今年九十多歲的國學大師饒宗頤教授、中國社會科學院、北京大學、香港等三十多位專家學者，親自為本片講解。
「香江懷古」是廿一世紀香港人自我塑造新的香港史。儘管你是生於斯、長於斯，但這確實是你聞所未聞的香港史，又是一般史書中，從來沒有記載過的香港歷史。「香江懷古」，重現香港人七千年的千古江山。
This programme will bring you the most beautiful finds unearthed from Hong Kong in the last half century. It will also recapture the seven thousand year long history of Hong Kong. In the last ten years since 2001, the filming team has worked at many sites and museums, including those in the Pearl River Delta and Hainan. Moreover, the filming team visited Beijing to film the world’s oldest jade earrings from the site in Inner Mongolia.
We have interviewed Professor Jao Tsung-I, a renown Sinologist in his nineties, in addition to more than thirty scholars from the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, Peking University, and Hong Kong, etc.
This programme is about the history of Hong Kong written by Hong Kong people in the twenty first century. Even if you were born or grew up here, it is the history of Hong Kong you have never heard of or read from history books. The seven thousand year long history of Hong Kong reappears in this programme.
