商品簡介 |
Why do some people have albinism at birth? As there is no single genetic factor that causes albinism, there is no single response to this topic. Lack of pigment in the skin, hair, and eyes leads to albinism, a genetic disorder. Only 1 in 20,000 people have albinism, making it a relatively uncommon condition. Oculocutaneous albinism, oculocutaneous albinism with intellectual disability, ocular albinism, and solar-type albinism are the four different kinds of albinism. Albino individuals typically have normal vision and healthy-looking skin, hair, and eyes. People with albinism frequently have fewer melanocytes than other races in their skin, hair, and eyes, though. This can lead to various skin issues, such as U.V. sensitivity, a lack of skin pigment, and a reduction in the number of melanocytes in the hair. A lower concentration of the hormone melanin is also connected to albinism. This can also lead to various other issues, such as diminished night vision, a diminished ability to tan, and a diminished capacity to generate natural hair color. Albinism cannot be cured, but some may benefit from specific therapies. People with albinism may need to use sunscreen to prevent skin issues, and they may also need to utilize cosmetics or hair treatments to achieve the desired look. People with albinism are typically quite active and like to participate in activities others love, such as sports and visiting the beach. |
