同名展覽之圖錄。在中國近代史上,外商洋行買辦崛起並扮演重要的角色。歷任太古洋行買辦的香山莫仕揚(1820-1879)家族,為顯赫的香港買辦世家。是書輯錄精選自莫幹生、莫慶堯、莫華釗及莫華昇三代之文物珍藏,曾於香港中文大學文物館陳列展出,重現先輩之起居環境與生活情趣。文物珍藏涵酵葭e、書法、文房雅玩、陶瓷、玉器、漆器、金飾、珠寶、明清宮廷服飾等。是書圖文並茂,並刊載莫華釗〈香山莫氏家族〉、陸恭蕙〈莫幹生和他的家人-從買辦世家到專業人士〉專文兩篇,為讀者提供一手資料,深入解讀早已成為莫氏家族生活中不可或缺的博古收藏。

A catalogue for an exhibition of the same title featured at the Art Museum, The Chinese University of Hong Kong. The exhibits of art objects are selected from the Mok family collections of three generations, namely Mok Kon Sang, Mok Hing Yiu, and Christopher and Edwin Mok, descendants of Mok Sze Yeung (1820-1879), who was the founder of three-generation compradors for the Swire Group. The wide scope of the collections include paintings, calligraphy, studio objects, ceramics, jades, lacquerwares, gold ornaments, jewelry, Ming and Qing imperial costumes etc, all are in full colour illustrations with descriptive captions. In addition are two articles, "Mok Family – A Retrospective" and "Mok Kon Sang and His Family – From Compradors to Professionals", contributed respectively by Christopher Mok and Christine Loh, providing readers with first-hand information and in-depth interpretation of the Mok family tradition – collecting has become a way of life, and appreciation of Chinese culture, a matter of course.
