Author/Milica Boskovic was born on 1980. at Belgrade, Republic of Serbia. At year 2004, she graduated at Faculty of Civil defense , University of Belgrade. Since January 2005 she works at Faculty of Security studies - University of Belgrade, first as teaching assistant for subject Environmental protection. She got her master degree at year 2007 and doctoral degree at year 2008. Since 2012 she works as assistant professor for subjects Industrial security and Management for protective systems.Milica Boskovic is the author of two scientific monographs:1. Telemetry monitoring for animal species (2008)2. Challenges of industrial societies (2010)She is also the author or co-author of more than 20 scientific articles and some of them are:1. Implementation of modern monitoring systems for working process and quality control measures at steel industry2. Possible advantages for using The Helios system to achieve better and more safe US-Mexican border control3. The role of social networks for modern sociopolitical and security events4. The Use of modern technology for post-emergency rescue activities 5. Youth deliquency - trends and indicatesAs a researcher she was part of the team at project ''Developing an integral security system for oil industry''. Security is one of the key pillars on which a stable society is built, and which guarantees the rights of its members. One of the modern strategies - human security - potentiates that economy, environment, security, social conditions and law are the main attributes and functions that provide citizen's with prosperity, a sense of safety and integrity. Good socio-economic conditions, healthy environment and respect for human rights provide a state with political and democratic strength. It also allows for business to be stronger and progressive.This edition aims to provide some of the key challenges for modern societies so that scientists may explain them and give some solutions for better risk and crisis management. Scientists and researches from different areas and universities analyzed risks from areas of IT, global health, migrations, social engeneering, nuclear weaponry, environmental protection, private anti-crime business and different security policies.
